PLL Whipsnakes Review

This is a review of the roster for the PLL Whipsnakes. Below, I include the most recent pro team and college attended for each player. If they play NLL, I listed the NLL team they play with. At the bottom, I give my takeaways from this roster that has the potential to make a lot of noise this summer. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram (logical_lacrosse) and Twitter (Logical_Lacrosse). Thank you and please enjoy!

Takeaways
Are you a Maryland lacrosse fan? If so, then the Whipsnakes are your team! Of the 27 players on the roster, 20 of them are Maryland alumni. The Whipsnakes are clearly hoping these guys will work together well since many are friends. Many of them even played with each other at Maryland. Matt Rambo (2017 Tewaaraton Winner) and Ben Reeves (2018 Tewaaraton Winner) will be a dominant due on offense. Both were focal points of their offenses in college, so it’ll be interesting to see how head coach Jim Stagnitta handles them. My only concern with the Whipsnakes is that, while an abundance of riches, all these guys are used to being “the guy” on their team. Some of these stars will have to be okay with no longer being “the man”. Do I think this will be a major issue? No. In fact, since most came from Maryland, they will already be used to sharing some of the wealth with equally talented players. There’s a lot to like about the Whipsnakes (including the name) and I feel they will be one of the flagship teams in the PLL with such a star-stacked roster.
